You will own services from design to launch, work with frontend, product, and trading infra, and help shape agent behavior through prompt engineering and evaluation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend focus
• Strong API design, distributed systems, data modeling & debugging
• Proficiency in Go or ability to learn quickly
• Experience building production LLM/agentic systems and tool calling
• Ability to take ambiguous projects from zero to production with sound judgment

Responsibilities

• Own backend services powering Coinbase Advisor and Strategies from design to launch and operation
• Build integrations with trading APIs for accurate, auditable execution
• Develop agent harness with tool calling, orchestration, state, and recovery
• Shape agent behavior via prompt engineering, evals, and conversation analysis
• Improve reliability, latency, observability, and safeguards against duplicates
• Collaborate with frontend, product, design, trading infra, and compliance within guardrails
