Motorola Solutions is seeking a field/remote IT technician to support ASTRO systems for U.S. Federal Government accounts. The role requires upgrading and troubleshooting, with a focus on networking, Cyber Security, Active Directory, and LMR communications across WAN/LAN environments.

The position emphasizes strong communication, ability to work across customers and internal teams, and willingness to travel up to 75–80% internationally and domestically. A security clearance process is involved.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Motorola ASTRO deployments including networking and cyber security principles.
• Experience with Active Directory Administration and LMR communications is preferred.
• Strong IT troubleshooting abilities in a computer networked environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems.
• Administer and troubleshoot in IT-type environments with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of wired networks (LAN/WAN), routers, switches, and security devices.
• Maintain and document complex communications systems; provide weekly activity reports.
• Travel up to 75–80% domestically and internationally; align with security clearance requirements.
