Job summary

Motorola Solutions' US Federal Governments Markets Division seeks a Field Service Technician to perform on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of ASTRO systems, working with customers and internal teams to ensure reliable operation.

Candidates should have 2+ years IT/field service experience, knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, Active Directory, and LMR, plus MS Office and Google Suite; must be a US citizen capable of obtaining security clearance and willing to travel 75–80%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT/field service experience or related roles.
• US citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
• Willing to pursue CompTIA Security+ or CISSP within 12 months.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite is preferred.
• Experience with networking, cybersecurity, Active Directory, and LMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of ASTRO systems
• Lift equipment ~50lbs and work in an IT-like environment
• Coordinate with Motorola Solutions' customers and internal teams
• Document activities and generate weekly reports
• Maintain and optimize complex communications systems including RF/broadband
• Travel internationally and domestically up to 75–80% of the time
