Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician/Specialist for the US Federal Government Markets Division. The role involves on-site and remote upgrades of Motorola ASTRO systems, strong IT networking, cybersecurity, and Active Directory duties, and close collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Applicants should be a U.S. citizen, able to obtain security clearance, and prepared for up to 75–80% travel. The position is remote across the continental U.S. with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in IT, networking, technician, field service, system technician/specialist, radio frequency, or land mobile radio
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
• Ability to obtain/hold a U.S. Passport and travel up to 75–80% of the time
• Willingness to obtain CompTIA Security+ or CISSP within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems
• Troubleshoot networking, Cyber Security principles, Active Directory, and LMR communications
• Administer core applications such as UNC, PM, UEM, ESXi, IMW, KMF, HBSS, PKI
• Maintain and document complex communications systems with weekly activity reports
• Travel internationally and domestically up to 75–80% of the time
• Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and Motorola Solutions teams
