Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a field service technician for the U.S. Federal Government Markets Division. The role involves on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of ASTRO systems, and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Candidates should have IT and networking experience, knowledge of RF/LMR, and willingness to travel up to 75–80%. A U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance is required; pursuit of Security+ or CISSP is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT, networking, technician, field service, or radio frequency roles.
• Experience with Motorola ASTRO systems or similar radio networks is a plus.
• Knowledge of security practices and government contracting exposure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems.
• Assist with networking, cybersecurity principles, Active Directory administration.
• Maintain documentation and weekly activity reports.
• Travel up to 75–80% domestically and internationally as required.
