Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a seasoned Field Service Technician for the US Federal Systems Technology team. This remote-friendly role supports ASTRO upgrades and troubleshooting across the US with up to 80% travel.

You will work with IT networks, cyber security concepts, Active Directory, and LMR communications to deliver reliable, secure systems for government customers. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, documentation, and ability to obtain required security clearances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in IT, networking, technician, field service, or land mobile radio.
• Security-related certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CISSP are desirable.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems.
• Administer and troubleshoot in an IT-type environment with LAN/WAN concepts.
• Coordinate with customers and Motorola teams to ensure successful deployments and support.
• Produce weekly activity and accomplishment reports.
