Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Consumer team to lead the front-end engineering group across iOS, Android, and Web platforms. You will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure reliable, scalable experiences for users with a remote-first, nationwide setup.

The role emphasizes ownership of multi-quarter roadmaps, collaboration with Product and Design, and delivering consumer-facing software with high quality under evolving requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in management.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing software with ambiguity.
• Ability to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a balanced team of engineers with clear expectations and feedback.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap.
• Empower tech leads and engineers in design and cross-functional alignment.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer systems, including on-call and incident response.
• Drive alignment across organizations and influence partner experience
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and other Engineering teams.
