Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Consumer team to guide front-end initiatives across mobile apps, web experiences, and future surfaces. You will lead an engineering team, shape the multi-quarter roadmap, and ensure design and code quality while partnering with Product, Design, and Analytics.

You will drive reliability and performance of consumer systems, and help evolve cross-team collaboration in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years of people leadership.
• Proven delivery of consumer-facing software and driving through ambiguity.
• Ability to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
• Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end in a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers – set expectations and provide feedback.
• Own the team's technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap tied to experience initiatives.
• Empower your tech lead and engineers in design decisions and cross-functional alignment.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer systems – on-call and incidents.
• Drive alignment across organizations and influence partner experience roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics and other Engineering teams.
