Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Consumer team. You will shape the front-end experiences across mobile apps, web surfaces, and future consumer surfaces, guiding architecture, quality, and reliability in a remote-first environment.

You will lead a cross-disciplinary team, align with product, design, and analytics, and drive large-scale redesigns and improvements to the consumer journey while fostering a high-trust culture and strong growth opportunities for engineers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading and growing engineering teams.
• Proven ability to deliver consumer-facing software and navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to guide architecture, quality, and reliability, empowering senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers, setting expectations and providing feedback.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap aligned with experience initiatives.
• Empower tech leads to uphold design and quality, guiding cross-functional alignment.
