Job summary

Modivcare is seeking a Care Center Representative for a fully remote role. The position starts at $16/hr and requires weekend availability in the 2nd shift, with overtime as needed.

You will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch responders, and provide compassionate, customer-focused support. Strong communication and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential. Remote workers must have reliable internet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a contact center or healthcare settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient typing (35 WPM) and ability to navigate multiple screens efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch responses per protocol.
• Provide compassionate customer support using scripted and non-scripted responses.
• Monitor a high volume of medical alerts and alarms and offer genuine care.
• Record call details, dispatches, and messages in real time with accuracy.
• Communicate with empathy and patience to ensure a positive member experience.
• Verify and update customer information to maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot alarm systems and report issues for timely maintenance.
• Suggest preventative healthcare services where appropriate.
• Manage access to sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality.
• Talk and type simultaneously while navigating multiple systems.
• Complete new hire training and pass required compliance testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
