Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to deploy and support on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions across the United States. This is a remote position with heavy travel up to 75% and opportunities to work with cloud-native public safety technologies.

The role requires configuring, testing, and cutting sites, resolving connectivity issues, and collaborating with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Network+ and Security+ are a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of virtualization and server OS environments (KVM/VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Server).
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server versions, Windows Server platforms, and Linux.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS switches, Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, and basic networking.
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI, plus Active Directory concepts.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and contribute to deployment teams.
• Experience with virtual machine deployments and hosted systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based apps.
• Perform site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Manage connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provide support to customers and partners during deployment.
• Document changes, cloud tenant configurations, and API integrations during implementation.
• Ensure timely resolution of installation and quality issues.
• Contribute to Methods of Procedure (MOP) for migrations and upgrades.
• Support pre-contract discussions and customer negotiations as needed.
• Stay current on cloud-native public safety technologies.
