Job summary

Rockwell Automation, Inc. is seeking a Deployment Support Technician to partner with Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Operations to ensure successful deployments of AMR solutions. The role involves on-site and remote support, troubleshooting in customer environments, and coordinating with multiple teams to maximize system uptime.

You will travel 60-70% across the U.S. and Canada, supporting go-lives, post-deployment optimization, and ongoing stability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. and Canada (60-70%).
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• 2+ years in technical field service or related automation.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (Ethernet, WiFi, IP).
• Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration.
• Experience working with clients in operational environments.
• Experience training users on automated equipment or software.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning and integration of systems including hardware verification, network setup, software configuration, and safety checks.
• Complete acceptance testing, document results, and resolve readiness gaps before go-live.
• Respond to real-time deployment issues with hands-on troubleshooting and escalation to engineering.
• Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, retrofits, and recalls on deployed AMRs.
• Deliver training to customer personnel on system operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Support, Field Services and Systems Engineering to resolve issues and relay feedback.
• Manage AMR fleet status and documentation updates.
• Communicate deployment status and resolutions to customer teams.
• Support after-hours or on-call coverage as required during projects.
