Job summary

Rockwell Automation, Inc. is seeking a Deployment Support Technician to work with Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Operations to deploy, go-live, and optimize AMR solutions in customer environments. The role involves troubleshooting, system validation, and providing user support to maximize uptime.

The position is remote-based with expected travel across the U.S. and Canada (60-70%), and reports to the Lead, Systems Engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• Ability to travel across the U.S. and Canada (60-70%).
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning and integration of systems, including hardware verification, network setup, software configuration, and safety checks.
• Complete acceptance testing, document results, and help resolve readiness gaps before go-live.
• Respond to real-time issues during deployment and go-live periods through troubleshooting, log review, triage, and escalation to engineering when needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance audits, minor repairs, retrofits, and recalls on deployed AMRs.
• Deliver training to customer personnel on system operations, maintenance, and best practices.
• Coordinate with Technical Support, Field Services, and Systems Engineering team members to resolve customer issues and convey field feedback.
• Manage AMR fleet status, help track repairs, and support documentation updates.
• Communicate with customer teams, ensuring visibility into deployment status and issue resolution.
• Support after-hours or on-call coverage as required during the project.
