Job summary

Rockwell Automation, Inc. is seeking a Deployment Support Technician to partner across PM, SE, and Operations, ensuring uptime and value realization for AMR solutions.

You will work in customer environments, perform deployment, validation, and ongoing support with a strong customer‑first mindset. This remote-based role is located near strategic deployment sites with travel across the US/Canada, and reports to the Lead of Systems Engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to travel 60–70% across the US and Canada.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in relevant technical field.
• 2+ years in technical field service or automation.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic Linux familiarity (Ubuntu).
• Networking knowledge (Ethernet/Wi‑Fi/IP).
• Experience with AMR/AGV systems.
• Experience training users on automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning and integration of systems with hardware verification and software configuration.
• Perform acceptance testing and document results to close readiness gaps.
• Troubleshoot real-time deployment issues and escalate to engineering as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, minor repairs, retrofits, and recalls on deployed AMRs.
• Deliver training to customer personnel on system operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Support, Field Services, and Systems Engineering to resolve issues.
• Manage AMR fleet status and assist with repairs and documentation updates.
• Communicate deployment status and issue resolution to customer teams.
• Provide after-hours or on-call support during projects.
