Job summary

Rockwell Automation, Inc. is seeking a Deployment Support Technician to partner with Project Management, Systems Engineering and Operations to deliver exceptional outcomes for end-users, channel partners, and OTTO.

You will work within customer production environments, performing troubleshooting, system validation, issue resolution, and user support to ensure reliable operation and maximize automation value.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• About 2+ years in technical field service, automation, IT/OT support, robotics, or related.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu).
• Working knowledge of Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, IP addressing, and connectivity.
• Experience training users on automated equipment or software.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning and integration, including hardware verification, network setup, software configuration, and safety checks.
• Complete acceptance testing, document results, and close readiness gaps before go-live.
• Respond to real-time deployment issues through hands-on troubleshooting, log review, triage, and escalation.
• Deliver training to customer personnel on system operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Technical Support, Field Services, and Systems Engineering to resolve issues.
• Manage AMR fleet status, track repairs, and update documentation.
• Communicate deployment status and issue resolution to customer teams.
• Provide after-hours or on-call coverage as required.
