Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services, a virtual role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States. The position leads sourcing for third-party transportation, fleet, couriers, and related logistics services, partnering with internal clients and Supply Management colleagues to optimize cost, service, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g. C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for assigned logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to negotiation and implementation.
• Develop strategies and lead negotiations for contracts and pricing.
• Analyze spend to improve total cost, service, and risk; track value from improvements.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and requirements to support sourcing decisions.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers; establish performance expectations and KPIs.
• Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to drive alignment and implementation.
• Maintain category governance and provide timely reporting on activities and results.
