Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing across transportation, fleet, couriers, and related logistics services. This virtual role can be located anywhere in the United States.

You will partner with internal clients, Supply Management colleagues, and suppliers to develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and drive cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through market assessment and contracting.
• Develop strategies and lead negotiations for contracts and pricing, managing risk.
• Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities to improve total cost, service, efficiency, and risk.
• Analyze spend and partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, Analytics to evaluate alternatives and support sourcing decisions.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers; define KPIs and governance; monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Partner with internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders to implement sourcing initiatives.
• Maintain category and supplier documentation and provide reporting on performance and savings.
