Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing for transportation, fleet, and courier services. This virtual role can be located anywhere in the United States, reporting to the Director of Supply Management.

You will partner with internal clients and suppliers to develop category strategies, drive negotiations, and improve cost, service, and risk. The role requires 7+ years of experience, a bachelor's in supply management, and professional certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g. C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through implementation.
• Develop strategies and lead negotiations for contracts and pricing.
• Analyze procurement spend to improve total cost, service, efficiency, and risk.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Analytics to support sourcing decisions.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers; define KPIs and governance.
• Partner with internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategies.
• Maintain category governance and provide reporting on activities and outcomes.
