Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. seeks an experienced, independent Bookkeeper to manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts in Lewisville, TX. You will perform full reconciliations, payroll, fixed assets, and maintain accurate ledgers with minimal supervision.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Google Workspace. Flexible work-from-home options are available and candidates should have at least 3 years of bookkeeping

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of core bookkeeping principles and internal controls.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform full reconciliations of bank, credit card, and loan statements.
• Maintain general ledger with standard and adjusting entries; manage fixed assets depreciation.
• Manage AP/AR, payroll processing, and client accounts with minimal supervision.
• Review entries and mentor junior staff; lead targeted accounting projects.
