Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will collaborate with engineering and BD teams to demonstrate capabilities across multi-domain environments and support field testing.

The role involves travel up to 50%, security clearance requirements, and translating customer needs into product roadmap inputs while maintaining close ties with government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles; or HS Diploma/GED with 5+ years.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configuration and oversee field trials, modernizations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and BD teams to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with BD to support technical needs and priorities.
• Develop and present technical demos for low-signature, tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end architectures.
• Travel to customer sites and labs up to 50% and coordinate field-testing activities.
