Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM needs. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and technical demos across multi-domain environments.

You will collaborate with engineering and BD teams, translating field feedback into roadmap inputs while pursuing RFI/RFP opportunities and market research. A SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering/defense tech.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• U.S. Citizenship required for this role.
• Background check and drug test are prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configurations, and field trials with live demonstrations.
• Collaborate with BD to ensure technical needs align with priorities.
• Build and present demonstrations for low-signature, tactical edge needs.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and provide technical input.
• Perform market research for potential integrations and end-to-end networks.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders across PEO-SOF Digital Applications / PEO-C4.
• Capture field feedback to inform product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
