Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM. You will bridge RF capabilities with SOCOM requirements, support field trials, and collaborate with engineering and business teams.

Up to 50% travel, remote work possible depending on location, and a SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months is required. Candidate should have 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech, plus a related degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Familiar with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, and scripting (Python/C++).
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering on benchmarking data.
• Align with Business Development on technical requirements.
• Build and present tech demos for USSOCOM needs.
• Conduct market research on industry integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and S&T leads.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
