Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge advanced RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and multi-domain testing, collaborating with engineering and business development teams.

The role requires up to 50% travel, security clearance eligibility, and a proactive, technically fluent approach to tailoring solutions for SOF commands and components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Coordinate with BD to support technical needs and priorities.
• Develop technical demos for low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
