Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering and BD to demonstrate, test, and coordinate field demonstrations across tactical edge, multi-domain environments, and strategic field-testing.

The role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing or tactical communications systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting (Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in demonstrating technical capabilities, interoperability, and field-readiness of StreamCaster MANET radios across multi-domain environments.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing data and validate architectures.
• Align work with Business Development and strategic priorities for USSOCOM opportunities.
• Engage with technical stakeholders across PEO-SOF Digital Applications/PEO-C4 and S&T leads.
