Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer needs. You will work with Applications Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability, field-readiness, and low-signature performance across multi-domain environments.

The role involves up to 50% travel to field sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location; a SECRET clearance is required or obtainable within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years experience in relevant roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months;US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and SOF communications requirements; map needs to radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations and support field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound and align with strategic priorities.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and identify integration opportunities with industry partners.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs; remote work may be possible depending on location.
