Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with Special Operations requirements. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and roadmap activities across multi-domain environments.

Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR; 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech; OR HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant technical/defense experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiar with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Government SECRET clearance within 15 months.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting languages (Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Willingness to operate in outdoor field environments and lift up to 50 lbs.

Mansioni

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and SOF-peculiar communications requirements; map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to benchmark and validate solution architectures.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for USSOCOM and component commands.
• Conduct market research for potential integrations and end-to-end network testing.
• Engage with technical stakeholders across USSOCOM and related S&T leads.
• Gather field feedback from SOF Operators to influence product roadmaps.
