Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements and field-readiness across multi-domain environments.

Reporting to Applications Engineering, you will support stakeholder demonstrations, address technical needs with the BD team, and travel up to 50% for field tests and customer sites, with remote work options per location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and SOF-peculiar communications requirements, mapping operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to verify proposed architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs of USSOCOM and its commands.
• Contribute input for RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end network architectures.
