Job summary

ABB seeks an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services to lead the U.S. AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales.

The role drives customer-focused technical solutions, develops high-performing engineers, and ensures high-quality SOWs and JCEs, while improving proposal speed and customer satisfaction. This is a remote position with 25% travel within the US, reporting to EL Sales Support Manager - Commercial Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 12+ years relevant work experience.
• Willing to travel 25% of the time within US.
• 7+ years in application or field engineering in power delivery products and systems.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team with clear performance expectations.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
• Drive proposal excellence and operational effectiveness with SOWs and JCEs.
• Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes and training programs.
