Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services in the United States. This remote role leads the U.S.

AE organization to support Commercial Operations and Sales teams, delivering high-quality proposals, SOWs, and accurate job costing while developing a high-performing team. You will collaborate with Proposal Management, Business Development, Operations, and other ABB engineering groups to standardize solutions, improve cycle times, and enhance overall

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time within the US.
• 7+ years in application or field engineering in power delivery products and systems.
• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in oil & gas, metals, mining, paper, power gen, data centers or similar.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team with clear performance expectations and targeted development plans.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio with strategic engagements and site assessments.
• Drive proposal excellence and operational efficiency by ensuring high-quality SOWs and JCEs and improving ITO processes.
• Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes through KPI management, libraries, digital tools, and training programs.
