Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a National Rental Customer Development Manager to manage a national book of rental accounts and drive revenue growth. This 100% sales role focuses on retaining and growing current national accounts, increasing wallet share, and keeping trucks on the road.

The position allows remote work with significant travel (60–75%), serving the West and Central regions, and offering competitive benefits including a 401(k) with company match and a RyderShares discount.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of sales experience with quota achievement.
• Experience as Rental Manager, RAM, or BDM on the lease side preferred.
• Demonstrated sales excellence in prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts.
• Grow wallet share and revenue within assigned accounts.
• Develop sales plans and a communication plan for each account.
• Schedule and lead customer meetings; build relationships at all levels.
• Attend customer events and trade shows in the territory.
• Complete annual business reviews with assigned customers.
• Analyze profitability and competitive risks within each account.
• Mentor Rental Account Managers to grow into higher roles.
