Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a National Rental Customer Development Manager to manage a national book of existing rental accounts and drive revenue growth. This role is 100% sales oriented with a focus on retention and wallet share across West and Central regions.

The position can be remote, with 60%–75% travel and frequent overnight trips. You will build strategic account plans, lead meetings, and collaborate with RAMs to upskill the team, while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years or more of experience in sales roles.
• Experience as Rental Manager/RAM/BDM on lease side preferred.
• Demonstrated sales excellence and quota achievement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts.
• Grow wallet share and revenue within assigned national rental accounts.
• Develop sales plans and a communication plan for each assigned account.
• Schedule and lead customer meetings and build relationships at all levels.
• Attend customer events and trade shows for applicable industries within the territory.
• Complete annual business reviews with assigned customers.
• Analyze profitability and understand competitive influences and risks.
• Partner with RAMs to develop their skills and grow into higher level sales roles.
