Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a National Rental Customer Development Manager to manage a national portfolio of existing rental accounts. This 100% sales role focuses on retaining customers, growing wallet share, and driving revenue growth while meeting quotas.

The assigned book covers West and Central regions; the position can be based remotely with significant travel (60–75%), and compensation includes base pay plus uncapped commissions, plus benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant sales experience with quota achievement.
• Experience in rental or field sales is preferred.
• Ability to travel 60-75% and work remotely.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Proven track record of growing revenue and wallet share.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of ~100 top national rental accounts.
• Grow wallet share and revenue within assigned accounts.
• Develop sales and communication plans for each account.
• Lead customer meetings and build relationships at all levels.
• Attend customer events and trade shows in the territory.
• Conduct annual business reviews with customers.
