Post University is seeking an experienced Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to university stakeholders. This in-house role focuses on drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on Title IX, ADA, privacy, and other regulatory matters to ensure university compliance across in-person and online programs.

The position is fully remote with very limited travel (<5%). Ideal candidates will have strong drafting, negotiation, and research skills and a keen interest in higher education compliance.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one state in good standing; CT house counsel status is required.
• At least two years of practicing as a lawyer.
• Higher education experience is welcome but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
• Interest in contract review, with focus on provisions like privacy, IT security, indemnification, and IP.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor, technology, data privacy, and IP agreements.
• Review student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal advice on ethics, operations, and compliance.
• Assist with international compliance for international students.
• Support with data privacy and related regulatory matters.
• Conduct legal research and develop educational resources for the institution.
• Collaborate with university staff and departments on legal matters.
• Maintain awareness of FERPA, GDPR, GLBA, NCAA, TCPA, Title IX, and related policies.
