Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to institutional stakeholders, focusing on contract review, privacy, and regulatory compliance for on-campus and online programs. The role emphasizes collaboration with the legal team, faculty, and staff in a fully remote capacity.

The attorney will draft and negotiate diverse agreements, advise on Title IX, ADA, GDPR, FERPA, and other laws, and support international compliance with a small travel footprint.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; CT house counsel status required.
• At least two years of legal practice.
• Higher education experience welcomed but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
• Desire to develop expertise in contract review and key provisions.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor and technology agreements.
• Review student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal advice on ethics and compliance.
• Assist with international compliance for international students.
• Assist with intellectual property matters as needed.
• Support privacy, GDPR, FERPA, and related regulatory areas.
• Conduct legal research and develop resource materials.
• Collaborate with University colleagues across departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
