Job summary

Post University invites applications for an in-house Compliance & Contracts Attorney. The role provides legal counsel to university stakeholders on contracts, Title IX, privacy, IP, IT security, and regulatory compliance for online and on-campus programs.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, review communications, and support cross-functional teams while staying current on evolving laws impacting higher education. Remote work with minimal travel is offered.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
Active bar admission in at least one state; Connecticut house counsel status required.
Minimum of two years of legal practice experience.
Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
Interest in contract review and key contractual provisions such as privacy, IT security, indemnification, and related topics.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor and technology agreements, partnerships, data privacy, IP, and international matters.
Review outgoing student communications for regulatory compliance.
Provide legal advice on ethical operations and compliance.
Assist with international compliance for international students.
Assist with intellectual property matters as requested.
Support privacy, GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, NCAA, and other regulatory areas to ensure university compliance.
Perform legal research and develop educational resources on regulatory issues.
Collaborate with university stakeholders across departments.
Other duties as assigned.
