Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to university stakeholders. The role focuses on contracts, compliance with Title IX/ADA, IP, privacy, and technology matters, with extensive drafting and negotiation of business documents for on-site and online programs.

It is a fully remote position with minimal travel. The attorney will work under University Counsel, support regulatory compliance across multiple areas, and help develop expertise in higher

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted to at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status required.
• At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer.
• Interest in contract review and key provisions such as privacy, IT security, indemnification, etc.
• Ability to develop knowledge of higher education laws and policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor, technology, data privacy and IP matters.
• Reviews outgoing student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for international student population.
• Supports with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, NCAA, TCPA, Title VI, marketing compliance.
• Performs legal research and develops educational material for university stakeholders.
• Collaborates with university associates and handles additional duties as assigned.
