Job summary

VCU Health System seeks a Guest Services Information Assistant to greet patients and visitors and assist them with directions and visitation passes. The role ensures restricted visitors are handled appropriately and passes issued only to authorized individuals, while monitoring lobby activity for safety and helping patients who may wait.

Flexibility to rotate shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, is required to support 24/7 operations and a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess reading and writing skills and comprehend and communicate in English
• One year of previous customer service work experience (preferred)
• Previous experience keyboarding (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Determine when a visitor may not be allowed due to restricted list and advise accordingly.
• Notify supervisor of any situation which precludes expected job performance (computer outage, phone, etc.).
• Determine if parking validation is appropriate based on criteria for usage of visitor deck.

Job description

The Guest Services Information Assistant greets patients and visitors to the VCU Health System and to assist them with obtaining accurate directions and visitation passes. This job ensures that patients with restricted visitation are appropriately respected and visitor passes are issued ONLY to those visitors that have permission. This job also monitors activities of assigned lobbies to maintain a safe environment and to assist patients who may be left waiting for long periods.

Compensation Range

$15.30 - $22.95 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
