Job summary

Reserv, an insurtech, is seeking a Vice President of General Liability Claims to lead our talented Claims team as we scale to become the leading TPA. You will drive strategy, structure, and compliant policies while collaborating with Product and Engineering to implement technology-driven improvements.

The ideal candidate brings deep GI claims experience, strong leadership, and a track record of enhancing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and risk management in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• 15 years of on-point technical experience managing teams of 75 or more employees.
• 20 years minimum in P&C claims.
• Experience building and iterating on process and technology in a fast paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of all types of General Liability claims; Commercial and residential premises, bar and restaurant, construction, construction defect, NYLL, products, distribution, warehousing.
• Strong litigation management leadership skills; JD a plus.
• Knowledge of Professional Lines claims is a differentiator.
• Deep understanding of coverage and contracts with emphasis on risk transfer.
• Ability to synthesize data sets and drive results.
• Experience recruiting, retaining, and growing Claims professionals (remote environment preferred).
• Experience collaborating with an executive team to plan and execute on strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction for the General Liability claims organization.
• Collaborate with Account Management to exceed client expectations and build strong client relationships.
• Foster a customer-centric claims approach and drive continuous improvement for efficiency and satisfaction.
• Establish staffing structures matching organizational needs.
• Monitor claims data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities.
• Drive process improvements through proprietary claim systems.
• Develop an enhanced operating model focusing on priorities and performance.
• Enforce clear, compliant policies and processes for claims handling.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing claims team with technical expertise.
• Advise on high-exposure, complex litigation and coverage matters.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Collaborate with global claims departments and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies for claims management.
• Set standards to ensure prudent management and cost control.
• Promote a culture of innovation and adoption of new ideas.
