Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Vice President of General Liability Claims to lead a talented team as we scale into a leading TPA. You will shape strategy, design structure, and enforce policies to deliver exceptional service for clients across multiple sectors.

You will drive operational efficiency, manage complex litigation matters, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify tech and process improvements. Join a fast-evolving insurtech with ambitious goals and a culture of innovation.

Qualifications

• 15 years of on-point technical experience managing teams of 75 or more employees.
• 20 years minimum in P&C claims.
• Experience building and iterating on process and technology in a fast paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of General Liability claims including commercial and residential premises, bar and restaurant, construction, and coverage issues.
• Strong litigation management leadership skills; JD a plus.
• Knowledge of Professional Lines claims is a significant differentiator.
• Deep understanding of coverage and contracts with emphasis on risk transfer.
• Ability to synthesize data sets; take action and drive results.
• Demonstrated track record of enhancing organizational efficiency and recruiting, retention, training, and growth of Claims professionals.
• Experience collaborating with an executive team to plan and execute strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction for the General Liability claims organization.
• Collaborate with Account Management to exceed client expectations and build strong client relationships.
• Foster a customer-centric approach in claims handling and drive continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain an effective structure and staffing for current and future needs.
• Monitor claims data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Drive operational efficiencies through proprietary claim systems.
• Develop an enhanced operating model for claims focusing on priorities and performance.
• Advance and enforce compliant policies and processes for claims handling.
• Lead and motivate a high-performing claims team with mentorship and technical expertise.
• Consult on high-exposure, complex litigation and coverage matters.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Collaborate with global claims departments to align strategies and initiatives.
• Support and communicate claim philosophies while building customer relationships.
• Stay aware of industry trends and technologies and integrate where appropriate.
• Set standards to ensure prudent claims management and control expenses.
• Promote a culture of innovation and explore new ideas and technologies.
