Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Claims Manager to lead multiple teams handling General Liability and NYLL claims, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction. The role emphasizes leveraging technology and analytics to drive efficiencies and performance across remote teams.

You will manage Team Leads and adjusters, oversee complex losses, and implement best practices in coverage evaluation, investigation, and litigation management, while maintaining strong client relationships and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are a plus, as is a JD
• 10+ years of General Liability claim experience, with a proven track record of handling or overseeing NYLL claims
• 5+ years management experience with preference for managing in a remote environment
• Comfortable with technology and evolving claims systems to drive efficiencies and outcomes
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and motivate multiple teams of Team Leads and Claim Adjusters handling General Liability and NYLL claims
• Oversight and direction of the team on large and complex losses
• Achieve or exceed goals and overcome obstacles
• Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling including coverage evaluation, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and litigation management
• Monitor and analyze claim data to identify trends and areas for process improvement
• Conduct regular compliance and quality audits of team members with action plans as needed
• Align the team with client expectations of the claims process
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and professional growth
• Execute performance management including hiring, development, and retention
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex or escalated claims-related issues
• Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as policyholders and legal representatives
• Prepare and present comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analysis to clients and advise on trends and loss mitigation
