Job summary

State of New Hampshire – NH Liquor Commission in Concord, NH, seeks an Administrative Assistant II to support the Chairman, Deputy Commissioner, and Senior Management. The role requires professional, confidential office administration and coordination of complex schedules and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school in office or business administration, executive support, or related field.
  • Experience supporting senior management or directors.
  • License/Certification: None
  • Other Requirements: None

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Chairman and Deputy Commissioner in day-to-day matters, including managing Commission office calendars, coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, and fielding questions from elected officials, the Governor’s office, other state agencies, and the general public.
  • Drafts and prepares correspondence for the Chairman and Deputy Commissioner. Transcribes meeting minutes, and sends hearing results. Coordinates communications for the Commission with brokers, suppliers, and other business partners.
  • Coordinates agenda items and prepares the agenda for weekly public Commission meetings. Attends Commission meetings, prepares meeting minutes and posts the minutes on the Commission website.
  • Maintains and manages office supplies, asset inventory, and equipment needs for the Commissioners’ area.
  • Prepares submissions for Governor and Council and the legislature, including correspondence, statistical reports, and presentations.
  • Communicates with consideration, tact, and discretion to maintain harmonious working relations while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • Organizes important reference and source documents into easily assessable material for the Chairman and Deputy Commissioner to use.
