The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a full-time vacancy for an Administrative Assistant II.
Summary: To perform administrative duties and other responsibilities for the Chairman, Deputy Commissioner, as well as the Senior Management Team by coordinating and maintaining a professional, confidential, and efficient Commission office while implementing and following all NH Liquor Commission rules and policies.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in office or business administration, executive support, or related field supporting senior management or directors.

Responsibilities: Exercises considerable judgment in representing the Chairman, Deputy Commissioner, and the Commission.
Assists the Chairman and Deputy Commissioner in day-to-day matters, including managing Commission office calendars, coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, and fielding questions from elected officials, the Governor’s office, other state agencies, and the general public.
Drafts and prepares correspondence for the Chairman and Deputy Commissioner. Transcribes meeting minutes, and sends hearing results. Coordinates communications for the Commission with brokers, suppliers, and other business partners.
Coordinates agenda items and prepares the agenda for weekly public Commission meetings. Attends Commission meetings, prepares meeting minutes and posts the minutes on the Commission website.
Maintains and manages office supplies, asset inventory, and equipment needs for the Commissioners’ area.
Prepares submissions for Governor and Council and the legislature, including correspondence, statistical reports, and presentations.
Communicates with consideration, tact, and discretion to maintain harmonious working relations while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Organizes important reference and source documents into easily assessable material for the Chairman and Deputy Commissioner to use.
