Job summary

Elevance Health seeks an Afterhours Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I to provide 24/7 behavioral health services for up to approximately 10 million lives. The role offers virtual work with required in-person training sessions and some location-based considerations.

Work hours are Tue–Fri, 6pm–2:30am and Sat, 10:30am–7:00pm EST. Responsibilities include crisis response, assessing members for benefits access, and managing client communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent with 3 years of direct psychiatric or substance abuse experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor in applicable state(s).
• MA/MS preferred; EAP experience is a plus; call center experience is nice to have; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial client contacts and requests for services; assess situation and determine action.
• Provide telephone and/or on-site crisis intervention, assessment, and short-term problem resolution.
• Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests and assist members in accessing benefits.
• Manage shared mailbox used by clients and external vendor for documentation.
