Job summary

Elevance Health is hiring a Afterhours Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I for virtual, full-time work with required in-person training sessions. The role delivers 24/7 Behavioral Health and Employee Assistance services to up to 10 million lives.

Primary duties include crisis intervention, EAP support, and guiding members to benefits. Requires a HS diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience with licensure; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Colorado posting reflects state location options.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience or an equivalent background.
• Current unrestricted license in applicable state(s) such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor required.
• MA/MS degree preferred; EAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial customer contacts and requests for services, assess situation, and determine appropriate action.
• Provide telephone and/or on-site crisis intervention, short-term problem resolution, and referral to appropriate providers.
• Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests.
• Assess members and assist them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits under their health plan.
• Manage shared mailbox for client communications and documentation.
