Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an Afterhours Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I to deliver 24/7 behavioral health and employee assistance services for up to 10 million lives. The role requires evening/night shifts and occasional in-person training, with virtual work flexibility.

Primary duties include responding to requests, crisis intervention, coordinating referrals, and ensuring access to benefits; licensure and experience are required, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience.
• Current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor in applicable state(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial customer contacts and requests for services; assess situation and determine appropriate course of action.
• Provide telephone and/or on-site support for crisis intervention, assessment, short term problem resolution and referral to appropriate provider(s).
• Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests.
• Assess members and assist them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits available under their health plan.
• Manage shared mailbox used by clients and external vendor to forward information for documentation.
