Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development in Suffolk, VA. You will manage new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out, including bid packages, contracts and budgets, with 80% travel and a remote office day Friday.

Responsibilities span coordinating with GC/CMs, vendors and internal teams, ensuring schedule integrity, safety and compliance, and delivering openings on time and within prototype standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CM or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of architectural/engineering concepts and processes.
• Ability to travel weekly.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding with GC/CMs and subcontractors for Food Lion projects.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Oversee the Change Authorization/Change Order process and ensure timely payments.
• Develop schedules, phase plans, milestones, and monitor progress against requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and other stakeholders.
