Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is recruiting a Project Manager I in Store Development to oversee new store openings, expansions, and remodels from pre-construction through close-out. You will coordinate bidding, contracting, schedules, budgets, and vendor performance across GC's, CM's, and subcontractors to ensure on-time openings and adherence to prototype standards.

Residency in NC, SC or VA is preferred with 80% travel Monday-Thursday and a remote office day Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers/landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, and subcontractors on Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee preparation of contracts, purchase orders, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Manage change order processes and monitor budget impact.
• Direct weekly project construction and operations meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure safety and compliance with plans, codes and prototype standards.
• Coordinate across Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E, Operations, and other stakeholders.
