A leading electronic components distributor in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to manage accounts payable/receivable functions. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or equivalent education, 1-2 years of accounting experience, and must be proficient in Excel and knowledgeable in GAAP. The role requires the ability to converse in Mandarin and offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth.

We are looking for an ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST in SINGAPORE to assist on the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes.
- Process and record payments to suppliers and service providers
- Ensure that invoices are paid within stated terms
- Maintain accounts receivable records
- Responsible for check runs and wire transfer.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and correcting problem payables.
- Maintaining AP aging and ensure invoices are posted for delivered parts.
- Responsible for AMEX payment, posting and GL entries.
- Contact customers for timely payments and collections on past due accounts (if any).
- Manage and check references for new customers.
- Work with customers and Sales Representatives to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Override customer credit hold; work with Sales to resolve credit issues.
- Process Customer RMAs and credits.
- Enter, apply and post customer payment from checks, wire payments.
- Responsible for duties and obligations that may arise from time to time and as requested from company’s management.
- Education: Min. Diploma or equivalent (eg. ACCA)
- Experience: 1-2 years progressive experience in Accounting
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Must have legal right to work in Singapore (e.g., work permit or pass).
- Must be able to converse in Mandarin.
