Responsibilities:
Application Monitoring
- Define and implement application monitoring in collaboration with the build team.
- Supervise and monitor daily and monthly batch chains, coordinating with project, infrastructure, and production teams.
- Support overnight batch processes occurring during Singapore mornings and early afternoons to minimize downtime.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on risk chain data quality, with a focus on monthly runs.
Incident and Request Management
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support to business users including traders, risk managers, market risk monitoring operators, back-office and middle-office analysts, and market data administrators.
- Analyze and manage incidents, problems, and user requests.
Problem Management & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and update the knowledge base in collaboration with build and operations teams.
- Work closely with the build team to prioritize and resolve problems, contributing to long-term solutions.
- Provide non-functional requirements for monitoring as code implementations.
- Develop and maintain automated solutions and programmable code based on technical specifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of application support experience.
- ITIL certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets domain and trading lifecycle.
- Sound knowledge of Regulatory Reporting requirements (MAS, HKMA, EMIR, JFSA, CFTC, MiFID).
- Experience working with external data sources such as Bloomberg and Reuters.
- Proficient in SQL, with knowledge of XML, PL/SQL, MQ, CFT, Control-M, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, and NoSQL databases.
- High proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, PowerShell scripting, and Python programming.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ITRS Geneos, Elasticsearch, and Grafana.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage SLA/KPI, client communication, escalation, and risk analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Autonomous, self-motivated, and a committed team player.
- Ability to work well under pressure with effective time management.
