We deliver fund administration, custody oversight, and regulatory reporting services tailored to the digital asset ecosystem, including hedge funds, VC funds, family offices, and tokenization platforms.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President, Compliance to lead our global compliance and AML/CFT framework, ensure regulatory adherence, and support the company’s rapid growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in crypto-native compliance, AML/CFT leadership, and cross-jurisdictional regulatory management with hands-on expertise in blockchain forensics and transaction monitoring.

The role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Board and Risk & Compliance Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance

  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance the company’s global compliance framework, aligned with MAS guidelines and international best practices (FATF, EU AMLD, IOSCO).
  • Serve as Head of Compliance and AML/CFT Compliance Officer for AlfaR Fund Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd..
  • Manage ongoing interactions with MAS and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Lead the development of policies and procedures covering KYC, KYT, EDD, CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting (SAR/TTR), and Travel Rule compliance.

AML/CFT Leadership

  • Oversee a comprehensive AML/CFT program for digital asset clients and fund structures, including institutional and retail clients.
  • Manage on-chain transaction monitoring and forensics, leveraging tools such as Chainalysis, Crystal Blockchain, Elliptic, and others.
  • Ensure full compliance with Travel Rule obligations for cross-border crypto transactions and manage related technology integrations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Conduct jurisdictional AML/CFT risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date enterprise risk register.

Fund Administration & Client Compliance

  • Work closely with fund operations, client onboarding, and custody teams to ensure full compliance across the fund lifecycle.
  • Provide compliance guidance on complex fund structures, tokenized assets, and cross-border transactions.
  • Support the design of automated compliance processes integrated into fund administration workflows.

Governance & Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of Compliance Reports and presentations to the Board and Board Committees.
  • Ensure compliance training and awareness across the organization, including at senior management and Board level.
  • Act as key advisor to the Board on emerging regulatory risks and developments in crypto markets.

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, and Tech teams to maintain a proactive and risk-based approach to compliance.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Certifications (Mandatory)

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • Certified Cryptoasset Anti-Financial Crime Specialist (CCAS)mandatory.
  • ACAMS Certification (CAMS)mandatory.
  • Blockchain Forensics Certification (Chainalysis, Crystal, Elliptic, or equivalent) — mandatory.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in compliance and AML/CFT, including in:
  • Crypto exchanges / VASP / digital asset platforms.
  • Traditional finance / banking.
  • Government regulatory bodies (central banks / FIU).
  • Proven leadership experience as Head of Compliance / MLRO in crypto-native or hybrid financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and managing AML/CFT frameworks aligned with FATF and MAS guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain forensics and crypto transaction monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of fund administration, crypto custody, and tokenized asset risks.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of Singapore regulatory environment (MAS AML/CFT Notices, SFA, PSA).
  • Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional compliance (EU AMLD, FATF Standards).
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience in Travel Rule compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in KYC/KYT/EDD/CDD processes for complex client profiles.
  • Expertise in AML/CFT reporting (SAR, TTR, cross-border disclosures).
  • Advanced skills in crypto compliance and blockchain investigations.
  • Solid knowledge of OSINT tools and techniques for crypto investigations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
